PDPL & regulatory compliance
Compliant by architecture — not by policy document.
AGenomics treats data protection as a design constraint, not a disclaimer. The mechanisms below are how the platform is built, not promises layered on top.
Edge-deployed, on-premise
An edge container inside the hospital's own data centre, behind your firewall. Genomic data is processed on-premise and never leaves the building.
Microsoft Azure — UAE North
For the proof-of-concept and pilot only, AGenomics runs on a UAE-specific cloud instance so all data remains inside the UAE for the duration of the trial.
Compliance pillars
Seven mechanisms, built into the pipeline.
UAE data residency by architecture
Genomic data is processed in-country and never transmitted outside UAE jurisdiction. The final product is edge-deployed inside the hospital's own data centre (on-premise); for the POC and 90-day pilot only, AGenomics runs on a UAE-specific cloud instance (Microsoft Azure UAE North) to keep all data in-country throughout the trial.
PDPL alignment
Consent status is checked at ingestion (L0) before any reasoning occurs; processing is scoped to clinical and billing purpose; data minimisation is enforced at the gate.
Consent & identity
Every record is resolved against Emirates ID and gated on consent state, with un-consented data blocked from downstream processing.
Federated, not pooled
Cross-hospital intelligence improves through federated model updates, never shared patient records — defensibility and compliance built by the same mechanism.
Standards-based interoperability
HL7 v2.x, FHIR R4, and CDS Hooks — the same standards Malaffi, Nabidh, and modern HIS platforms already use.
Auditability via ARIS
Every clinical and claim decision traces to a specific, versioned rule, so regulator and payer queries have concrete answers.
Payer-infrastructure neutrality
Existing Shafafiya / eClaimLink connections and payer contracts are untouched; AGenomics sits upstream of submission.
The final product is edge-deployed on-premise. For the current proof-of-concept and 90-day pilot, AGenomics is deployed on a UAE-specific cloud instance — Microsoft Azure, UAE North region — to satisfy PDPL data-residency requirements during the trial.
